Las fallas

Every March, Valencia lights up for Las Fallas—a five-day celebration of fire, art, and tradition. Neighborhoods build intricate, towering sculptures (Fallas), only to burn them to the ground on the final night, La Cremà. I first experienced this festival while living in Madrid, and it left an imprint. These images capture the surreal beauty, creative chaos, and wild communal spirit that define one of Spain’s most unforgettable events.
